World Press Photo Exhibition Premieres in Ottawa

The acclaimed World Press Photo exhibition is back at the Canadian War Museum. Be inspired to see the world differently by visiting this year’s edition of the World Press Photo exhibition, which is on display from July 21 until August 17, 2016. Admission is free.The World Press Photo exhibition is the world’s leading international contest for photo journalists. Now in its 59th year, the annual World Press Photo Contest features 141 moving and thought provoking images taken during the course of 2015. Led by Francis Khon, Director of Photography at Agence France-Presse (AFP), the jury awarded the overall prize to Australian photographer Warren Richardson for his powerful image of refugees crossing the border from Serbia into Hungary, near Horgos (Serbia) and Roszke (Hungary).This exhibition is developed and circulated by World Press Photo and is presented at the Canadian War Museum in partnership with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
