25 Oct Important Changes To Travel Requirements For Dual National Canadian Citizens
As of November 10, an electronic verification process will take place for all passengers flying to Canada, including Canadian citizens and dual national Canadian citizens. Canadian citizens who are also citizens of a visa-exempt country, such as the Netherlands, and who currently use their non-Canadian passport to fly to Canada, will need to obtain a valid Canadian passport before flying to Canada. If a Canadian citizen does not have a valid Canadian passport, they may not be able to board their flight.
We therefore strongly advise Canadian citizens, including dual national Canadians, to renew or apply for a Canadian passport as soon as possible.
Here you will find a print-friendly fact sheet aimed at dual national Canadian citizens, videos and information in both English and French.
