US-trade tariffs for non-US companies

On March 4, after a 30‑day pause, the United States (U.S.) imposed tariffs of 10% on imports of energy products from Canada and of 25% on imports of all other goods from Canada. Tariffs on European goods have also been announced.

The Netherlands Canada Chamber of Commerce (NCCC) invites you to an insightful event on the impact of US-trade tariffs for non-US companies at the Canadian Embassy in The Hague on Monday, March 17th, 2025, from 2-5 pm. This will be followed by informal networking and light refreshments until 6pm at a hotel across the street, where further discussion can take place.

They will share their experiences, insights, and strategies to navigate the challenges posed by the new tariffs. This is a unique opportunity to hear firsthand from those directly impacted and to learn about innovative solutions and approaches.
  • Government Insights: US/Canada desk officers of the Dutch Ministries of Economic and Foreign Affairs, along with the Senior Trade Commissioner of the Canadian Embassy, will outline their respective government’s positions and highlight the advantages of the Free Trade Agreement between Canada and Europe (CETA).
