Our Netherlands Meets Canada Event, live from the RVO Studio on 2nd September 2021 was a great success.
Hosted by our Chair, Sandra Brandenburg, viewers got to meet the new Senior Trade Commissioner, Adam Barbolet, bid farewell to his predecessor Sameena Qureshi, listen to the new Consul General in Toronto, Harman Idema, and receive greetings from Henk Soeken, Consul General in Vancouver and Ambassador Coppoolse in Ottawa. Alwin Quispel from Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) talked about business between the two countries and cultural topics were covered by Julie Allen who showed the work of Faces to Graves and Mart Smeets presented his new book 'Oh Canada'.
Veerle Driessen told us about the new exhibit 'Magnetic North' at the Kunsthal Rotterdam, which showcases the work of 'The Group of Seven'. Following an online competition, guests Natalie, Else and Rob won two free tickets each to the exhibition.
Mr Smeets thoughts on Canada are alone worth watching; and the broader program provided a great overview of Canadian-Dutch commercial relations.
